Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers (born October 1, 1989), known as Brie Larson, is an American actress. Brie is perhaps bes known for the drama, Room (2015). She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Joy. Time magazine named Brie as one of The Most Influential People of 2019.
Brie began her acting career in 1998 on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno with a comedy sketch. She appeared in the 2001 sitcom Raising Dad. In 2005, Brie released an album titled Finally Out of P.E. Brie had various supporting roles in films including Hoot (2006), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), and 21 Jump Street (2012). From 2009 to 2011, Brie appeared in the television series United States of Tara.
In 2013, Brie had a leading role in the acclaimed independent drama Short Term 12. Brie then had supporting roles in the The Spectacular Now (2013) and Trainwreck (2015). Brie starred in Room (2015) and won the Academy Award for Best Actress. Kong: Skull Island (2017) was her first big-budget release. Brie joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Carol Danvers. She appeared in Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Brie made her directorial debut with the independent comedy-drama Unicorn Store (2017).
